Bob Iger, the boss of Disney, was very warmly welcomed at a big event on Friday night. About 12,000 excited fans stood up and clapped loudly for him. He was very happy to see the crowd. He said, “Wow. That was such a friendly welcome. I really missed you all.”
This event was at D23. It is a special event where Disney shows projects from studios like Pixar, Marvel, and others. This year, the event moved to Anaheim, California, where twice as many people could attend.
At the event, Kathryn Hahn led the cast in a musical performance before showing a new trailer. Marvel Studios’ boss Kevin Feige gave updates about the TV series Daredevil. He confirmed that the first season will be out in March 2025 and the second season will start filming soon. Kevin Feige also discussed another Marvel show called Ironheart. Ryan Coogler, the filmmaker of Black Panther, also talked about the show.
Disney Animation’s Jennifer Lee announced the release of Frozen 3 in 2027. She also mentioned the ongoing work on a fourth film. The director of Toy Story, Andrew Stanton, shared new information about Toy Story 5. He said the toys will have to deal with technologies like iPads and iPhones.
Finally, Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan will be leading a movie about a beaver and a man who switch bodies. The movie is called ‘Hoppers’.
