New 988 Dashboard helps with mental health research in the state

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has a new Crisis Line Data Dashboard on their website. They are collecting data to see who is calling the crisis line and track their resources. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline offers free confidential support for people in crisis. Calls and texts have been increasing each month, with texts going up by over 1000%. The dashboard shows how many calls they receive, who is calling, and what type of calls they are getting. North Central Health Care helps people in Marathon, Langlade, and Lincoln counties. They are seeing more people reaching out for help, which they believe is a positive sign that stigma around mental health and substance use may be reducing. The dashboard will be updated monthly, and you can find more information on the Wisconsin DHS website. If you need help, you can call or text a crisis counselor at 988.
