The owners of Neal’s Yard Dairy in London, a store that sells cheese, have said they are getting a lot of support. This comes after a lot of cheese was stolen from them. Over 22 tonnes of cheddar cheese were stolen. The cheese was worth up to £300,000.
The company gave 950 cheese wheels to someone who pretended to be a cheese distributor. It is believed that the cheese was taken to Russia or the Middle East. The police are now looking into what happened. Many people are giving support to the cheese store.
Three famous chef, Jamie Oliver, also spoke about the issue. He told his Instagram followers about the cheese robbery. He said, “If anyone hears anything about cheap cheese, it’s probably the stolen ones.”
Sarah Stewart, the owner of the cheese store, told the Times that they received many messages and new orders from all over the world. Tom Calver, who made some of the stolen cheese, said he was very upset when he heard the news.
A police spokesperson said that they received a report about the cheese theft and are looking into it.
