Diane Farr, star of the show “Fire Country,” has decided to leave Los Angeles after living there for 30 years. The 56-year-old actress announced her departure on Instagram, noting it is exactly three decades since she moved to the city.
Farr originally came to Los Angeles chasing her dream of becoming an actor. She moved from New York City at the age of 26, not born or educated in LA. She wrote about her journey and feelings of gratitude for the opportunities she received there. Farr shared that she enjoyed raising her children in California, appreciating the sun, nature, and community schools.
Over her career, which started in the 1990s, Farr achieved success in many popular shows, including “Roswell,” “Numb3rs,” and “Splitting Up Together.” She has three children with her ex-husband, Seung Yong Chung: son Beckett, 18, and twin daughters, Coco and Sawyer, both 17.
In her farewell video, Farr reflected on her time in the city and her feelings about moving, describing it as harder than she expected.
