Singer Ingrid Andress had a tough time on Monday during her performance of the US national anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby. She received a lot of criticism and now, she has confessed that she was drunk during the show. Ingrid has decided to take a step towards change and will be checking into a rehab facility.
Andress is known for her music. She was nominated for the Grammy four times. She has had two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Despite her past success, her recent performance was called “rocky” and even the “worst national anthem performance” by some news outlets.
The singer apologized on Instagram and admitted she was drunk. She feels bad for the fans, MLB, and the country for the poor performance. Andress believes that the person on stage was not truly her and she needs help. Because of this, she is going to rehab.
Not many singers would admit to being drunk on stage, and it takes courage to seek help for a problem. It is hoped Andress will recover soon and we might see her better performances in the future.
