After Spending More Than 50 Hours, a Manor Lords Player Constructs a Massive City That Surpasses Playability, Astonishing the Developer

A Manor Lords player has spent over 50 hours constructing an enormous city that is testing the limits of the strategy game, impressing even the game’s creator. Redditor Busy-Shallot showcased their incredible achievement with a post revealing the largest Manor Lords city yet, boasting a population of 4,548 inhabitants in one region.

The player dubbed this ambitious project the ‘Slavic Project,’ aiming to achieve the highest number of inhabitants in a region without food and fuel. Despite the success of the project, with the city claiming the title of the largest known population in a Manor Lords region, there were casualties along the way, with many NPCs lost during harsh winters.

However, cramming so many villagers into one save file has had consequences, rendering the game nearly unplayable as pathfinding becomes extremely challenging. The master builder, who has dedicated around 92 hours to the game overall and 50-70 hours specifically on the mega-city, hopes that someone else will surpass their record.

The remarkable feat caught the attention of Greg Stycze?, the game’s developer, who expressed his astonishment and pledged to continue optimizing the game for players to enjoy hoarding villagers without experiencing lag. In a Tarantino-inspired jest, the game reassures players that their towns are not deemed “loserville.”
