Apple Announces Special Promotion for New MacBook Air

Article updated on March 17; original post dated March 16.

Contrary to beliefs that Apple was done reshaping the laptop market, they are still creating ripples. Following the introduction of M3 MacBook Air, they’re making waves again.

The M3 MacBook Air’s arrival has allowed the M2 model to be relegated to the $999 entry-level. Thus, the M1 MacBook Air that held that position since 2020 has been displaced. It’s not over though; consumers interested in the M1 MacBook Air have a surprising new option.

Renowned American retail conglomerate, Walmart has partnered with Apple to offer the M1 MacBook Air for an incredibly low $699.

Lance Ulanoff, in a recent article, has explored the offer, inspecting the specs of the M1 MacBook Air. It has only 8 GB of RAM and limited 256 GB storage. Yet, plenty of benefits make this a good deal for a $699 laptop, states Ulanoff.

The opportunity to enter Apple’s luxurious ecosystem previously inaccessible to laptop buyers is also a crucial point. This is Walmart’s first venture in selling Mac hardware directly. It’s a remarkable branding exercise for Apple and quite a competitor for Windows PC and Chrome OS laptops as well.
