Deniel Washington, a famous actor, spoke about politics in the U.S. He said people need to be careful about the games played by both political parties.
He recently gave an interview to The Sunday Times. In that interview, he talked about his role in an upcoming movie, “Gladiator II”. One line in the movie is, “Empires fall, so do emperors.” Washington said this line reminded him of the present political situation.
According to Washington, politics is full of empty promises. He feels people need to understand this. He mentioned a line from his first movie, ‘Carbon Copy’. It said, “Power to the people was in the Stone Age.”
He also said that we depend a lot on information these days. He warned that people get fooled by both the political parties. Everyone should realize this, he noted.
Washington looked back at his acting career in this interview. He made some bad films after his successful movie, ‘Malcolm X’. But he said, he was earning money and was able to fulfill his duties.
Later, in the 2000s, he acted in good films like ‘The Hurricane’ and ‘Training Day’. He won his second Oscar award for ‘Training Day’. During this time, he had a busy life. He was earning well and had to take care of his family.
