Vito is a young, cute pug. He became famous in a big dog show. Many people clapped and cheered for him. His special look made him stand out.
Vito’s handler, Michael Scott, thinks Vito knows himself that he is special. He said, “He’s very smug — I do think he knows.” Vito won the “Best in Show” at the National Dog Show. This competition took place in the United States. Over 2,000 dogs from 200 different breeds were there. Vito was the first pug in history to win this show.
Carolyn Koch from North Carolina, USA, owns Vito. After winning the contest, she earned a cash prize and received a lot of praise. People really like Vito.
Vito has won before. He won the best breed at two other dog shows in 2023. Scott, Vito’s handler, has also won the National Dog Show before. In 2008, he won with a Pointer dog named Holly.
One judge named George Milutinovich loved Vito. He said that Vito is everything a pug should be. He added, “To look at a pug is to put a smile on your face.”
The second best dog in the show was a Welsh terrier named Verde. The show was funny and well-organized. It has been on TV since 2002 and attracts 20 million viewers.
