In his speech, Jensen Huang encouraged graduates at Carnegie Mellon University to work hard and stay determined. He inspired them to use their skills to help close the technology gap so many people can benefit from computing. Huang also expressed hope for a better future.
Carnegie Mellon President Farnam Jahanian introduced Huang. He praised him for showing how technology can help people create and discover. Jahanian believes that Huang’s work empowers people around the world to face challenges and find new opportunities.
Jahanian also urged graduates to be active participants in shaping the future. He reminded them to continue learning and to have faith in humanity. He congratulated the Class of 2026 on their achievements.
Simi Olusola-Ajayi, a master’s student, represented her class. She shared her own journey of finding her path at Carnegie Mellon. Keenan Norton, a new graduate and Fulbright Scholar, said he learned important skills to help others through his education.
At the ceremony, Carnegie Mellon also awarded honorary degrees to four notable leaders, including Huang and Broadway producer Jamie deRoy. The event celebrated the hard work and achievements of the new graduates.
