Prince Harry’s UK Visit Cancelled at Last Minute

The Duke of Sussex is worried that his children will not meet King Charles during their planned visit to the UK. This trip was important as it was meant to be the family’s first visit to Britain in four years for the Invictus Games in Birmingham this July.

Prince Harry and Meghan were looking forward to their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, meeting their grandfather. However, the UK government refused Harry’s request for police protection while in the country. A source close to Harry said he feels “distraught” by this decision. He does not want his children to be chased by photographers as soon as they arrive.

Harry is considering other ways to arrange the trip, but he believes it may not be safe without proper security. The source mentioned that their plans to meet family and visit charities have now been disrupted. They hope to see King Charles, but this cannot happen if the children are not safe from paparazzi.

Last year, Harry lost a legal case about automatic police protection in the UK. He had argued that it was unsafe for his family to visit without it. He has been waiting for a final decision from a committee that approves security for royals.

The UK government stated that its protective security system is strict and fair, and does not provide details about individual cases to protect security.
