The television drama “Baby Reindeer” is very popular. It was put on Netflix two weeks ago. It has been watched more than 13 million times. It’s number one in over 30 countries, including the UK and US.
The show is about a girl who follows a man too much. Richard Gadd is the writer and star of the show. He calls his character ‘Donny’. He once experienced a girl who did this to him. After the show was released, people started guessing who the real characters might be. Gadd asked them not to do this.
The woman who was called ‘Martha’ in the show is not happy. She feels threatened because of the show. People who like Gadd have sent her bad messages.
The “Daily Mail” paper talked to her, but did not say her name. She believes that Gadd is using “Baby Reindeer” to mistreat her. She said, “He’s using Baby Reindeer to stalk me now. I’m the victim. He’s written a bloody show about me.”
Gadd said that many years ago, a woman used to send him lots of messages. He got 106 pages of letters, 744 tweets, and many hours of voicemail. But the woman says this is not true. She says that she never owned a toy baby reindeer, like in the show. Gadd has asked viewers not to try and guess who the real people are. He said, “That’s not the point of the show.”
