The ad said, “Elon Musk is acting like he runs the government. This is hurting the American people. President Trump is letting it happen. We need to stop this.”
Common Cause created an online petition where people can ask their senators to fire Musk. They want everyone to speak up, no matter their political views.
Common Cause’s president, Kase Solomón, said it is strange that the Post refused this ad but showed them a different ad that supported Trump. He wondered if the newspaper did not want to upset Trump.
