Apple released tvOS 26.4 this week. This update has new features for the Apple TV.
tvOS 26.4 works with all Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models from 2015 or later. To update, go to the Settings app. Then, select System ? Software Updates, and choose Update Software.
One new feature is “Genius Browse” in the Apple TV app. This helps users find TV shows and movies. It gives suggestions based on what you like. The app updates these suggestions often.
Another change is “Continuous Audio Connection.” This setting helps fix sound problems when the audio changes between programs. It can be found under Video and Audio ? Audio Format.
You can now also change subtitle styles. You can change size and appearance while watching without going to Settings. Just look for the speech bubble button in the video player.
Finally, tvOS 26.4 removes the iTunes TV Shows and Movies apps. Now, all content is in the Apple TV app. The update also includes general performance improvements.
